Rome and the surroundings of Teijo, especially Teijo National Park and my summer gallery home village Mathildedal, are dear and important to me - which is the reason why these are combined in one way or another in most of my work. Whilst the Romans once brought the classical statues to decorate their gardens, I have in my turn brought these statues to the Finnish winter landscape. '' Romam adire Teijo '' is Latin and means '' Rome visiting Teijo ''. I hope you enjoy the combination of the classical statues and the Finnish nature as much as I do!
The exhibition will be open at Teijon Masuuni (Salo) until Feb 28th (break for Christmas).
